HRA Spotlight – Starting your Doctoral Journey in Hamburg: Essential Information and Helpful Tips
The decision to start a doctoral project comes with many urgent questions: What paths lead to a doctorate at Hamburg’s higher education institutions and what kind of doctorate is right for me? How do I choose a topic and a supervisor? Where do I apply for a position or where can I get funding for my project? In short, what is doing a doctorate all about?
This HRA information event is designed for international master’s students interested in pursuing doctoral research in Hamburg and who would like to plan their next steps in good time. You will learn more about the requirements, the doctoral process and the necessary organization.
Starting a Doctorate: These events provide insight into important aspects related to starting your doctorate and help you to make decisions and plan your first steps. Some selected events in this series are open and can also be attended during the master's program.
HRA Spotlight: The Hamburg Research Academy offers regular short information sessions on topics central to the doctoral and the postdoctoral career phase. Experts provide basic information and answer your questions.
This event is open to all HRA members. However, the content is geared to the needs of the listed career stage. Participation is free of charge, prior registration is requested. For further information please read the conditions of participation.
